Gennaio 2006. Excellent timing for good intentions.
I will run a 20Km running contest in 2006.
I will love my neighbour as myself. (any neighbour can consider him- or herself lucky that I like myself more than I did a year ago).
I will work less. Nah. Let's forget about this one.
I will be able to live in my flat before my 31st birthday.
Random questionnaire copied from other blogs:
1. Did you keep your new year's resolutions 2005? Didn't have any.
2. Did you do something you never did before in 2005? I bought a mini flat, turned 30 and slept with a non-caucasian male.
3. Did anyone dear to you give birth? (what kind of question is this - I'm sure whoever put this in a new year's questionnaire has been trying to conceive all along 2005) No. My two sisters each bore a son at the end of 2004 and are calling it a day. J has 4 children now and E has 3. I'm the eldest and don't have any. Will my biological clock start ticking in 2006?
4. Did anyone dear to you die? No.
But I feel sorry for children who don't get born in supporting families. I feel sorry for the parents who cannot support their children.
I hate tv shows that raise money to help victims of disasters. But I don't wish them away. Any money will do. If you are Belgian you can donate to artsen zonder grenzen on 000-0000060-60.
My heart bled this morning when I found out one of our twin kittens disappeared. Blackie's now left with no companion for 2006. He's crying all the time. But for Christ's sake, how do you comfort a cat?!? Anyone any ideas?
5. Which countries did you visit in 2005? I don't visit countries, but I do visit friends or art exhibitions. Posh but true. This year was different because of short of cash. I only visited other countries for work. I work in France and visited the UK and The Netherlands.
I'm growing fonder of France everyday. I could easily live there. Somewhere on the coast of the Atlantic.
The landscape on the train from London to Liverpool is superb.
With a bit of effort I found something I like about Liverpool: there's a waterstones bookstore and there's an expensive hotel with a gym (which I could afford since the company was paying). I met two charming lesbians in Liverpool which I might visit or invite just for their company. I am however still 95% straight.
The Netherlands. Well. Nevermind. I didn't stay longer than one day and it was raining.
6. (I like this one) What was your favorite tv show? Rome, of course.
7. Who was your favorite celebrity?
Lucius Vorenus! My kind of guy.
8. Whom did you miss? Betty C (quit living in Paris, move up north), Tyler S and my grandmother.
